June 2018
Twelfth Night
The summer of 2018 brought a lively Shakespearean comedy, full of music, mistaken identity, mayhem, multiple marriages, madcap mischief, and mirth! Something for Nothing Theater traveled to Illyria, where multiple suitors desperately courted a grieving heiress, while her family and servants schemed to teach the town’s wet blanket a lesson he wouldn’t soon forget. Audiences discovered what happens when a shipwreck at sea throws a captivating stranger (or two) onto the shores of this town already on the brink of complete absurdity. Our ninth production at Ramsey Park was directed by Artistic Director, Deb Streusand.

Something for Nothing Theater was founded on the belief that Shakespeare’s works, at their best, are performed with a minimum amount of gimmick and a great deal of heart. The company produces accessible, family-friendly Shakespeare on a shoestring budget, and discovers all performances through the creative act of play.
